Great success on the water. Really nice and if hunt out if a boat in deaper water. One didn’t work right away but I spun it with my fingers and that freed something up and I haven’t had a problem since. I like that they use AA batteries and not something unique.

I bought these in November of 2017. Only 2, still work the way they are intended to. 3 others work, but make a lot of noise and constantly seize up. Meaning, I have to get in the water and spin them to get them going again. 1 has completely quit. For the money, you are better off checking out what lucky duck has to offer. Only gave it a 2 rating because only 2 of them still work.

I bought 18 of these in November 2017 also and used them about 8 to 10 times in our rice field. Out of the 18 I got only 6 work now. They have a bad problem with the power switch. Good concept but very poor construction.

Oh so you will just ship new ones with shipping information? I was just told by Marty that they must be shipped back, which I think is a waste of time and money. I'd be glad to prove I have the defective products and just have new ones shipped.
-
Yes, you will still need to ship the defective units back in order to receive replacements. This information can be found on every warranty card inside of every product box. Shipping the units back to us not only provides proof of purchase (not that we don't believe someone on word of mouth) but more importantly allows us to diagnose and improve on whatever defect is present.

Like others have said when they are running they are a great addition to the spread but after just using up one set of batteries half of my decoys started making the howling noise when they would spin and then they quit working all together. I may try some more if they figure out a way to improve the design to correct these problems but until then I'll looking for something else.

Got the updated version of these decoys and only got to put about 40 hours of run time on these but it was some rough late season hunting. One day it started snowing so hard that the wing had to fling the snow that was piling up on it out of the way to keep running. They took it all in stride and ran flawlessly the whole day.
Just put the decoys away for the season and they all work just like they are out of the package. I will be getting another pack of these this fall.
This product moves back up to 5 stars for me.
Thanks Holden for your guys help with this.

A buddy told me his seized up but thought id try because these are such an Awesome concept. but after a season all but one has seized up and quit working. I really tried to take good care of them as well, rinsing and lubricating the units after each hunt. Very disappointed to go get ready for early Teal season, put new batteries in, and bam, Now only 1 still works. Cant justify spending another $100 on a gadget that breaks down this quick.
Mojo needs to go back to the drawing board on these or refund. Long time customer....Tim from Texas

Similar review to others here. Like the concept. They worked great out of the box. After one trip several started squeaking horribly. I had to switch them out each trip for a few months as I only used one or two at a time. After 7 or 8 trips I no longer had any that didn’t squeal when spinning. Loved the idea. Never really noticed a huge difference in decoying ducks...but still liked the idea. The set screw on the spindle should be stainless so it won’t rust. The spindle seal needs to be better, and the seal to the battery compartment needs to be better. I bought mine the first season they came out, hopefully they have fixed these issues. Otherwise don’t buy. I may buy again someday, if I find them for half the price. And if I do. I would baaaaaaaaby them constantly drying and oiling to prevent the blood curdling squeal my first set all inherited.
Was disappointing to think real world testing was either not done, or ignored. No way these issues wouldn’t have come up light testing.

Worked great out of the box. First good storm the wind flipped them upside down. THEY ARE NOT WATER TIGHT. 3 of them stopped working the next day. Water got into the motors and fried the motor. Getting the proper intermittent voltage at the motor, but the motor won't work. Three are still working only because every time I use them I make sure no water is getting inside. What really sucks is when they are working it seems to get ducks to approach the decoys more consistently.

Like everyone here I liked the idea and bought them the first year they they were offered. None survived the season. I did some homework. The motor is a Mabuchi RF-500TB-14415 which is very common and can be purchased for $3-$5 all over the internet. If you have ANY electrical experience at all you can simply cut the leads to the old motor and solder in a new one. I collect these from guys who are junking them because they always fail. $3 and five minutes gets me a new machine that will last about as long as the first one did but for 80% less money.

I gave 3 stars because it's an excellent concept, but the engineering needs improvement. All of mine failed within 5-6 hunts. Even though I knew they might, I bought anyway and tried to take special precautions by keeping them dry and spraying with Corrosion X HD. Didn't work. However, this is a great company. I just called and they are sending the new improved version to replace. No questions, no fuss, just asked for address. A real person answered too! 1 star on the product, 5 stars on the company and the concept. Hopefully I can review the new ones.
